- How did Jeter win ANOTHER gold glove?? I watch almost every Yankee Game and it is clear that he is not the best defensive shortstop in the AL. Off the top of my head I will say that Orlando Cabrera and Alex Gonzalez are without a doubt better defensively. Jeter is an above average defender who is great at pop-ups/fly balls, but horrendous range to his left. Read Buster Olney's blog on ESPN.com to read further into his poor range factor.

Follow-up to Manning/Brady

I'm sure people just assumed he was the best all time considering he holds every single passing record in the history of the game.
Here's my question for the day, as everyone knows I am a big Phins fan, and was anticipating this season more then any other in recent memory (Yes, even more then Jimmy Johnson's first season). And I'm pretty sure we can all agree that this has been one of the most disappointing season not only in NFL history but in the history of the four major sports. How often do you see a team in sports that some percentage of experts pick to go to the super bowl and end up being one of the two or three worst teams in the league? Not often.
So my question is, when something as devestating like this happens to your favorite team, do you a) keep rooting for them to pull off upsets and playing spoiler? or b) pack it in, hope they lose the rest of their games for a top 3 draft pick?
I have always been one to keep rooting for your team to be a spoiler, but this year has been so frustrating that I would rather get the top draft pick and root for Big Blue. Thoughts?
Side note, if you were the Dolphins with a bust free agent quarterback signing (Man, I wish we had Brees right now). An aging defense and a weak offensive line, who would you take? Calvin Johnson? Brady Quinn? Some no name offensive lineman?
I personally love Calvin Johnson and would be a perfect big body complement to the small speedy deep threat of Chambers. Quinn will need time to develop, and taking a trench guy is just plain boring.
How can you possibly go wrong with a Charlie Weiss groomed QB??? Not to mention he plays for the best college football program in the country.
Another Brady out from under Charlie Weiss' wing is for sure the way to go
